Pomologisk symposium
Et Pomologisk symposium afholdes for at fejre etableringen af Pometet for 50 år siden, og for at øge opmærksomheden blandt fagfæller og i offentligheden i Norden omkring vigtigheden af det arbejde der gøres for at bevare og udforske de lokale så vel som globale plantegenetiske ressourcer. Fokus er på frugt og bærarterne. Symposiet afholdes den 9-10. november 2006 ved Den Kgl. Veterinære og Landbohøjskole i København.
Foredragene vil foregå i det historiske festauditorium 1-01 på Bülowsvej og udstillingen af frugter og originale pomologiske akvareller af Frk. Ellen Backe vil blive vist i tilstødende lokaler. Der vil være indlæg fra internationale eksperter fra Rusland, USA, England, Norge, Sverige og Danmark.

16.30 – 16.45. Short discussions of the presentations of the afternoon.
Dinner at Restaurant Saison – Nordic kitchen – theme fruit and berries. Accompanied with words from chef Erwin Lauterbach on the gastronomic aspects of fruit and berries and the work with developing a new Nordic Kitchen based on local raw materials.
