Palms have immense importance to millions of small farmers throughout the tropics and subtropics. A workshop at University of Aarhus on november 17th will focus on the continuum from wild palms to domesticated palms in a variety of tropical and subtropical agricultural systems. The workshop is open to consultants, students, researchers, development workers, representatives of NGOs, officials in Danida and other development agencies and others who are interested in sustainable use of local plant species in agro-forestry and other agricultural systems in developing countries in the tropical and subtropical zone.
