This conference is the 7th in a series of conferences dealing with the highly topical area of Biological Nitrogen Fixation designed to enhance European collaboration in the field of Nitrogen Fixation research and to foster scientific and technological co-operation between Europe and the rest of the world, particularly with Developing Countries. This multidisciplinary conference, on a topic of importance and of excellence in Europe, represents an excellent training ground for junior researchers.
